Do I need planning permission for a garden shed?

Smaller sheds and workshops often fall within permitted development, but maximum height, overall footprint, and distance from boundaries all matter—and some uses need permission. Always check with your local planning authority for your address. We can help you understand typical rules for garden sheds before you commit.

What kind of base do I need for a heavy-duty shed?

Heavy-duty timber sheds need a solid, level base—commonly concrete, paving slabs on compacted hardcore, or a properly constructed timber platform. We factor in ground conditions, span, and weight of the contents when we advise you during the quotation stage.

Do you install the buildings, or is it delivery only?

We install. We deliver and build on site with our own team—this is not a drop-off-only kit. You get a finished, weathertight building without weekend flat-pack assembly.

How long does it take from ordering to installation?

Lead times vary with demand and how customised your shed is. After your deposit and signed-off specification, we schedule manufacture and installation and confirm an expected window—often from a few weeks. Your written quote states realistic timings at the time you order.
